The research group has long-standing expertise in basic, translational and clinical research on blood coagulation factors and their role in disease. More about the position The project focuses on inherited factor VII (FVII) deficiency, a rare but serious bleeding disorder caused by mutations in the F7 gene, leading to markedly reduced FVII activity, and applies advanced technologies such as CRISPR-based gene editing, induced pluripotent stem cells and liver organoids to rescue the FVII expression in patient-derived cells.The position will support continued experimental work and data analysis within in vivo pre-clinical studies, which form an important foundation for future cell-based therapies in patients with FVII deficiency.
